Our Way of Life Workshop

In March of 2025, Alaska Sea Grant hosted a workshop convening fishing and Tribal organizations from Cordova, Kodiak, and Sitka to discuss their shared way of life around fishing and pathways forward under multiple stressors. This workshop was developed through our adaptation planning effort to synthesize efforts and foster closer collaboration on climate resilience and adaptation planning.

Facilitation Tools

Community conversations about resilience can be highly effective with appropriate facilitation that is aimed at empowering diverse perspectives and creating a shared understanding. Many of the facilitation tools that we employed throughout this planning process were adapted from Resilience Metrics.
